Megan Mottor: The Gut-Skin Connection

Today, on the Scheer Madness Podcast, Rachel is joined by Megan Motter, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, determined to join clients on their journey to achieve overall well-being with nutrition and lifestyle changes. Megan graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. After graduation, Megan completed her Dietetic Internship at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, and is now a Coach at Rachel Scheer Nutrition! Megan dives into how gut and skin health have a direct impact on each other. As the largest organ in the human body, the skin is our body’s first line of defense. As the gut is 70% of our immune system, Megan notes the importance of having a strong connection between the skin and the gut. Megan continues, noting some of the root causes behind renowned skin issues such as rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and more.
